Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've ever wanted to purchase a robot vacuum, now is the time. CNET's top-rated models will be on sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. best robot vacuum is a camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often go through). It's the first robot to provide you with pictures of the objects that it encounters, so you can instruct that it is safe to avoid it.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop we've ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills quickly, leaving no trace that it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app that lets you schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean areas you do not want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop by speaking to it.
Its design is also a step above the competition and features a sleek, top piece that appears more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal System is also self-emptying which will reduce your cleaning time.
In our tests the j7+ performed quick to clean up dust, dirt and pet hair. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one location instead of scattering it all over the floor. It even could take small gravel and sand, which most other robots aren't able to do. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.
The j7+, although not as intelligent as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot, and cannot clean the stairs, is an option for those who require both mopping and vacuum. It's not expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly.
While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and often it's difficult to know whether the update is functioning until you've seen it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase a vacuum that does more than simply clean floors, the best option is probably one that is a hybrid. These machines are equipped with a water tank, so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. They also have a number of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The negative is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock is the manufacturer of several of our top robotic vacuums and the Q5+ does not perform to the standards. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and while it's not equipped with some of the features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save some hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeable soft around obstacles like tables and walls, which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough when it comes to getting rid of dust bunnies which is an area where cheaper robot vacuums often fail. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is fantastic too, with very little missed corners and along walls.
Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled using the buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. With the app you can begin and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and alter your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.
If you select the Q5+ it includes a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once it's in place, emptying the bin is relatively simple. It comes with a huge LCD screen which is helpful in setting up schedules and changing settings. This feature isn't necessary for the majority of people, however it can help you effectively keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design is one of the best in the industry however it's quite expensive.
The base station is attractive and is easily hidden when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The main reason to buy the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water and also electrolyze and warm the water. The majority of other robots require you to perform this.

Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's the only robot vacuum I've tested that does a good job picking up the dust from floors with no. It's also not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means that it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the home. It can't navigate stairs as well as competitors, either and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for plush carpets.
While it doesn't offer the same amount of cleaning-related options in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the price tag.
If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options on the market. Many of the eufy models cost considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers the same experience in the app, but with more features like stair climbing, a full-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors and low and high-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac g30
Eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums that have the right balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for carpets and hard floors, as well as mopping functions for a low cost. It's easy to set up simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn on and plug in the charging dock. The app guides you through a few steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. It is recommended to keep the dock near an electrical outlet and ample space for it to move, however.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be precise, which means it can be placed under couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is more modest than other models, sporting sleek black finishes and three buttons that are physical: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
The way that the G30 cleans is what separates it from its competitors. It uses an integrated map to draw an image of the unmovable objects in its path. It remembers the items it has cleaned and what it is unable to access. It will return to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning the area it left.
The elegant G30 has its flaws however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better built, incurs lower recurring expenses, charges more quickly and has the same battery life, while providing better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It has a bigger dust bin, which does not require more emptying. It also has boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't require as frequent emptying and it has less trouble with bulky material such as cereal.
